The Way Beyond (Prologue)

I woke up!  It was dark, tried opening  my eyes, didn't do much help. As if I was inside a void with only darkness around me .  I opened my eyes and the darkness flooded in! I tried remembering where I was, tried remembering something that  could explain why I am here, all in vain. My head hurt and I couldn't recall  anything. It felt like the time has collapsed on itself and now there is nothing else, well except for this dark void.  They say your lizard brain wakes up in these situations. From the depths of your consciousness, and attempts to guide your instincts to safety. I see something now! Maybe my eyes have finally adjusted themselves to this darkness. Something familiar comes into my vision, laying in front of me. A leather spined book on top of a towel, an old leather bound book. I looked around, I was sitting in the shade of a tree. Can you still call it a shade when there is nothing but darkness around? Like if a tree falls in the woods far away f

Back with an idea!

When I saw the date of the last post, I went down the memory lane. This was always the plan. To come back and start writing another story. The plan never changed, it was me, who got busy in other non-relevant works that postponed the plan. From the look of it seems by quite a little bit. But haven't lost my touch yet. Thanks to a galore of books that I read during this period! I think they'll only help in enriching my way of storytelling. So wait no more!! I am coming back with a new story. Thanks for being so patient with me!!

Note

The final two Chapters of Close Apart is done (At Last!) I have been working on this story for a few years now! But the Time constraint had always been a hurdle in my constant posting! The good thing is, I am bubbling now with many different ideas for my blog! Thanks to all of my friends & family, who've waited patiently! Thanks a Lot!

Close Apart (Chapter-35)

Close Apart Chapter-35 “The 1st Anniversary!” “One year ago! On this very day, I shed my bachelor skin & have been a faithful husband ever since!” Amongst claps and whistle Aditya stepped down from the table which he had temporarily made into a podium stage!! “And today we celebrate our 1 st Anniversary!” A plush flat overlooking the busy Park Street, a small crowd of old friends, Aditya had always dreamt of this life, and finally he is living it! Manish was holding his peg up in the air indicating that his peg was finished. “Can I have a refill on this?” He said. “Only if your wife doesn’t have an objection!” Amrita matched up his voice! Rohini, Manish’s girlfriend turned wife had several of them! (I meant objections of course!) “You’ve already had seven such refills!!” she complained “So What! It’s you who’s going to drive!” Argued Manish. Aside this fight, Aditya came down near where Amrita was sitting, “Thank you for everything!” “You are welcom

Close Apart (Chapter-34)

Close Apart Chapter-34 “They Meet (Finally)” Tuesday came, along with it came a lot of memories, both good and bad! Aditya was uncertain whether he can actually go through with his wedding or not! Ironically a feeling that he had heard all grooms face on their wedding day! But his position was entirely different. It felt like something was tearing him apart from within. “It’ll be alright! Its normal feeling cold feet in situations like these.” Said Manish. “You don’t get it Manish! Have it ever occurred to you that what kind of situation I am facing? I’ve loved Komal as I’ve never loved anyone else in my life! But still the fate decided otherwise!” Aditya said. “Don’t think of those things now! Just remember that you promised your life to Amrita and now going to marry her today!” “Yes! By The way when will Amrita come?” “She called me up, she said that she’ll reach the registrar’s office directly at 11:00 am.” “I really don’t know what she is doing! When I am st

Close Apart (Chapter-33)

Close Apart Chapter-33 “The Day Before” Amrita was getting really excited as the day of the wedding was coming closer. She was completely absorbed in planning exactly how the wedding will take place, what dresses will they wear, what music to play until she was told that none of those will be totally possible since the registrar office is generally very crowded and any pompous and time consuming celebration would be literally unmanageable! Monday came, and most of the planning was over, Aditya was relaxing in his armchair in the morning when Amrita came with a cup of coffee. “Aditya! I need you to do me a favor.” “What?” Aditya asked inquisitively. “You’ll have to stop seeing me…” “Wh… what!! What are you talking about! We’re getting married tomorrow!!” “Something has come up to my knowledge!” Aditya froze! He couldn’t believe what he was listening! He was just jotting down names in his mind of persons who might be responsible for this. “I’ve heard from someone whom I trust very much t

Close Apart (Chapter-32)

Close Apart Chapter-32 “Shopping Day” Amrita took Komal for her wedding day shopping! Komal tried a lot to dodge Amrita but then she was not so resourceful when it came to denying someone. “Look, all my life I’ve been either studying or working, actually I didn’t get real time to dress-up or to party around. So I am what you’ll call a fashion disaster” confessed Amrita. “Don’t worry! I’ll Help You out! You won’t be a fashion disaster on your wedding day.” Komal smiled and replied. After sometime, Amrita was lining up in front of the trial room while holding few dazzling dresses. “I know the decision was a bit hasty, but after so many days without him, I don’t have the patience of staying away anymore! I know, you must be thinking that getting married in a registrar’s office is such a boring thing to do, but for me the companionship is much more important than a fancy wedding! And even Aditya seems to be quite supportive about this.” Amrita finished as she went in one of the trial room
