Chapter-19

“The British Council Mystery (Part-II)”

“Komal you don’t have to do this!”

“Trust me, I’ll have to. “

“O.K. listen, try to find out as much information as you can about the server they are using & about its network administrator Mr. Bakshi.”

“Why him?”

“Because only he has got the power to insert any virus or Trojan in the server & I had this feeling before that he’s up to something.”

“O.K and I’ll see you in 2hrs or so…”

“Right, note everything, take pictures if necessary and…”

“and?”

“Don’t run into unnecessary troubles!”

“I won’t.”

“Manish will drop you on his way…”

“No, I’d prefer to take my Press car with me…”

Watching Komal going away, Aditya had this strange feeling. He realized that she was going to risk her job to find out something for his defense; Aditya realized that something has creped into his self silently. So silently that he never even realized that it rested there. Rested just to remind his of its existence just when the time is right. Aditya thought,

“Is this right? Just when with every passing day his fear of losing Amrita is becoming a reality, isn’t it weird that my heart is leaning towards Komal? I had never thought that I’d be ever able to think about anyone else! But the way she cares me and the hopes that she conveys with her touch, brings out my feelings for her… Oh God give me a clue! I’m too confused with my emotions!”

****************************************************

“I’m Komal Arora from The Telegraph; I have a meeting with
the director.”

“Yes madam, he’s expecting you.”

“Thanks a lot”

Komal went past the server room as she entered

Mr. Malhotra’s office. She even caught a look of Mr. Bakshi inside the server room, fiddling with the instruments.

“Yes Miss Arora, I’ll have to verify your ID.”

“Sure sir” Komal said as she handed him her ID “I’m here to cover a report on British Council’s Technological advancements”

“That’s very well Miss Arora; in that case, I’ll escort you to Mr. Bakshi. He’s our Head of technological dept.”

And so within a minute, Komal had made her way into the Server Room, discussing with Mr. Bakshi & taking photographs.

“Are these the servers Mr. Bakshi ?”

“Yes, these are the brains of all the processes going in our digital wing, we have automated book issue system, membership accounts, and our biggest project, a huge collection of electronic copies of numerous books. So we take a lot of care about its maintenance and its security.”

“Could you give me any technical details about these servers?”

“Sure, we previously used Dell Power Edge 1955 blade servers here, until a month ago, when they were replaced by the latest Dell Power Edge 2950 Rack servers. These new servers are extremely compact but on the same time has large storage capacities.”

“So tell me Mr. Bakshi, being the network administrator of this institution, are you well trained for handling these instruments?”

“Of course I am! But we take frequent trainings about the latest upgrades; as for example, I have just returned from training in the states and will go to receive training about these new rack servers.”

“Well thank you Mr. Bakshi, we are very much impressed from the view we saw here! Thanks a lot for the walkthrough!”

Komal’s heart was racing when she left the British Council Building. For the first time in life she had gathered such resources which she’s unsure of providing any help to Aditya!

She could only pray that these facts may bring out some way in Aditya’s case. Komal kept driving and thinking about the times she had spent with him and about all those when she had spent in thinking about how to spend more time with him…

Now when all these started? That’s really a personal question now!!

The story is getting really interesting with unexpected twists and turns. Only, sometimes a layman may get a bit confused by the barrage of technical terms. Still, one feels that they are integral parts of the story, and gives the story proper ambience and flavour.

Train Encounter Chapter-10 Epilogue "Truth is stranger than fiction" I've heard this many a times from many of my friends, but never got a chance to verify it. This July (I mean july2006) when I was on my way back to my college in Nagpur, I was struck for 6 hours at Tatanagar station, I didn't have the slightest idea that I'll get to face one of my life's most interesting moments. Yes, dear reader!! What you just got through last 9 chapters actually happened to be my fellow co-passenger!! I came to know about her problems when I had started chatting with her when I knew that she too was going in the same train. She didn't want to tell this "weird" incident to me at first, thinking that I won't believe her, but then told at last. I was awestruck when she told me that the person was going to meet her that very day!! Well anyone can guess what amazement did I pass when the person turned out to be her Boyfriend!! I just asked them if I could wr

Close Apart Chapter-3 “Lamb Delight” “Lamb Delight!! Wow, that was some order!” recalled Aditya. Actually, it was about a few months earlier that Manish, a colleague of Aditya tried to hook him up with a girl named Suneeta, who, Manish claimed was one of his girlfriend’s friend. So! On the preplanned Saturday night, Aditya came to this very place and met her. “She was gorgeous!” was Aditya’s first reaction and after a very short stretch of time Aditya started liking everything about her. And when Aditya knew that she was a little bit interested about computer softwares, then it made feel like: “look! Didn’t I tell you earlier? Gorgeous girls like softwares!!” Aditya had this (Well, used to have) symptom of being completely speechless near girls. So he tried to make his order speak of his feelings and he ordered a couple of “Lamb Delights!” Just after the waiter left, Suneeta turned to him and said “Do you know what they have in these?” Aditya was thinking to ask about what she was ref
