“Sweet Day Out”
Aditya was in a dilemma, he was not able to think from where he was going to make Amrita meet Manish when he clearly knew that she won’t be coming to Kolkata for the next few days!
Just when he was considering “eloping” a valid alternative, his cell phone rang. Aditya lazily raised the display to check who was calling. To his utmost amazement he saw the display showing “God” calling!!
Aditya couldn’t make anything out of it! He seemed to have two minds in answering “God”! But I guess he had no other options!
“Hello! Who is it?”
“Wasn’t the display of your cell phone telling my identity?”
“Komal!! This is not funny. You just …… but… when did you do it?”
“When you left your cell phone here… so, what’s your plan?”
“Well I’m planning a little spiritual time span between me and God, because there’s a thing that I’d like to share with… let’s say her!”
“So…”
“Its 4:30, we meet exactly after 1 hour, at…”
“Baskin Robbins.”
“Come Again?”
“Well it’s a cake shop just a few blocks away from your office and…”
“I know where Baskin Robbins is! I was just wondering why you choose such a place.”
“Because I believe that each and every relationship must start with something sweet… and this is supposed to be a spiritual hang out! What do you expect to offer your God? Hamburger?”
“O.K. then its done.”

“Chocolate, that’s my favorite flavor.” Komal was in a perfect mood. Aditya guessed this was the appropriate time to let her know…
“Well, Komal, actually you’re kind of angel…”
“Excuse me, was that a compliment?”
Oh Aditya when will you learn to talk sensibly!!
“I meant to say that you’re my savior, my personal Jesus Christ!”
“Like in ‘the Matrix’? I like it.”
“Listen up, I know this girl…”
“And you love her.”
“Who told you that?”
“Well, she did!”
“Now how do you know that I’m talking about this girl?”
“She also said she was the only girl you ever talked with…”
“That’s not true!!”
“Relax, I was just kidding! Now what’s the point?”
“I have a friend Manish, who always tries to hook me up with girls every now and then.”
“And…?”
“And now he won’t believe about Amrita, unless he meets her tomorrow.”
“But she’s...”
“Out of station!”
“So Aditya, what do you plan to do?”
“See, it’ll be over in half an hour or so, I know I’m demanding too much from you but try n’ understand!! I don’t have any other way left!! Please! Help me out! God Help me out, I offer this wonderful chocolate cake in thy hand!!”
“As you wish my friend!! Tell me when and where?”
“You don’t have to worry about that! I’ll pick you up tomorrow at 6 o’ clock in the evening! Thanks a lot!! You saved my life!”
Komal answered while devouring a large piece of cake in her mouth,
“Never mind! And after all, that’s what God’s supposed to do!”
